Track Name: Woe
Meetings and greetings from birth were deceiving, no matter who you are or were. You’ve got to find balance in life’s mathematics. 0’s and 1’s till they blur. Woe. Meetings conceiving, our worth surely fleeting. I don’t know who I’ve become. You’ve got to find balance from sunshine to tragic. Life’s just a trip then you’re done. Woe.
Track Name: Even the Ground Now
An eight-foot man in a tweed coat is yelling to me. “No, nothing’s guaranteed at this speed. Are you afraid to become obsolete?” I’m discrete, so I’m obsolete already. I feel depleted. I am so defeated. I’m not stable. I’m barely able to fight this. Trip and fall down. Oh no! Even the ground is melting now.
Track Name: Chalk It Up
You paint me a picture now based on reality. You said you were more of a sister now. And we were like family. Come what soon may go. Chalk it up to the tallies. You turned on that radio as we parked in the alley. You read me my train of thoughts, but in reverse. And you broke me down into size. And I don’t know what’s worse. You play in my head, but to different chords. And no matter what was said, I still love you more.
Track Name: Roll Alone
She said, “Stand up for yourself, man.” But I never listen. I wonder, can my body span this division? Why do you go where you’re not supposed to go? Why do you just roll, and roll, and roll alone? I’m walkin’ around this crumbling town. Making figure eights wherever I go, wherever I stroll. You knew I’d never climb this totem pole alone therefore you stole. I’m spacing out on the thought of your attention, but how can I sleep with all this misapprehension? Remember when you gave me your ears to listen? Remember when I just moved? I moved away. Now I’m always waitin’ for the night time. Can you feel how I dread the daylight?
Track Name: Beautiful Girl
A beautiful girl walks into my mind. I haven’t seen you around here in quite some time. A beautiful girl in a dress made of lead. I will kill you now that it’s just in my head. In darkness, in blood, will you still be my love? When it rains on the sun, will you just turn and run? No. We ran down to find your car. You never knew where you would park. Is life better than you expected so far?
Track Name: Passion Play
Exhumed, second chance, presumed song and dance. Resume my lunar trance. Sonic boom! Dead hand. Ain’t it grand, Mushroom Land? Go back to my way. Don’t know why I ever strayed. You just seemed so unswayed. Star of your own passion play. Consume cash in hand. Assume, don’t withstand. Costumed that minute hand, entombed, hour hand. Baby boom! Rubber band.
Track Name: Goodbye Blue Eyes (Song for Shawna Renee)
Lend me your ears, so I could speak. I’ll keep it down, you know that I’m meek. But you’re just so amazing. I cannot believe there is an end, between you and me. I could confess all of my sins. You could forget, but could you forgive? But you’re just so amazing. I cannot live inside a world where you don’t exist.
Track Name: Winter
I think winter is just around the corner, because I’m starting to ignore her. But she’s convinced that I’m different and that without me she’s a blur. It’s freezing outside; feel like a loner. I’m walking alone with everybody else and I’m trying to convince myself that I’m different; still with it, and that I’ve got my health, that the look on their faces is ‘cause of something else. Forget the frozen urban air. Take a hit. Forget all your cares, and when you trip, just fly down those stairs. Is it true that life’s not fair, or do we deserve these nightmares? Take a pull, I forget all my cares, but when I trip I break my bones on these stairs. This silence is misused and left for nowhere, and I’m fine with that. But she’s convinced that I’m different and that without me, she’s a blur. It’s freezing outside; feel like a loner. I’m walking alone with everybody else, and I’m trying to convince myself that this distance, not existent, I’m not upon your shelf. Put me in my place, so I can be myself.
Track Name: Momentary Meditation/Paralysis
I can be found face down in my mind trip. Let it out or let it in, you’ll find yourself back again. I live in charades, the parade of your mindset. It’s dark as night yet clear as day. I hope they don’t put me away. I fell in deep. You shattered my rear view. No looking back, in case we crash. Reversing track is just pathetic. Where were you when I needed you most, child? You said you’d stay but then you went. I guess you meant fuck forever. This city sleeps while you’re spinning. You pirouette straight into a nose dive. This city sleeps while we’re sinning. You pirouette straight into a nose dive.
Track Name: Swallow Me Whole
I feel you in the breeze. I see you rush past all the leaves. I fall and break my knees. Oh, what’s it like to be free? I climb. Evaporate for you. Then, rain down, clean everything, make me new like you. You drink me up. You swallow me whole. Now I’m yours, ‘cause I’m in your soul. I’m thirty thousand miles deep, with a milestone chained to my feet. I hope some day I will arrive, to the surface, to you the light.
Track Name: Bay View
Stay if you have the mind to. Place all your trust in me. Stay, ‘cause darling I won’t hurt you. I will make you clean. You’re walking down through Bay View, the city where you’re from. It took so long to find you. How could I give you up or give up? Save if you hear me falling. Take everything from me. Taste the bitterness of caution. Taste the sweetness in defeat. You’re walking down through Bay View, the city where you’re from. It took so long to find you. How could I give you up? You’re walking down through Bay View, the city where you’re from. It took so long to find you. How could I give you up or give up?
